The Team

Fiona Grogan – Principal

Fiona has run a.n.t.s. for twenty years, with the focus being on drama, naturalism and ensuring that each and every child in a.n.t.s. gets the opportunity to perform, regardless of ability or age.

She trained as an actress and dancer before being offered a full scholarship at arts educational in London. After Fiona attended an open audition for the BFG, aged 16, she became the youngest leading lady in the West End when she originated the role of Sophie at the Aldwych. The show ran in the West End and was followed by a very successful number one tour of the UK.

Fiona acted in various productions and TV projects following this until she decided that teaching drama to children was a true calling. Today she is proud of the work that a.n.t.s. achieve but most of all she is proud to see friendships build amongst the students that stay with them as they grow. A.n.t.s. is much more than a youth theatre!

Tom Flood – Writer

Tom studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and acted professionally for a number of years. Today he is our writer in residence and he creates all of our plays around each and every child.

Kellie Bright – Patron

Kellie has been a professional actress for over 35 years and her list of credits is quite simply mind blowing. From Teabag, The Upper Hand, Ali G movie, The Archers, Rock ‘N’ Chips and Strictly Come Dancing.

Today she plays Linda Carter in Eastenders where she has won best actress at the British Soap Awards. Fiona and Kellie met 25 years ago when they performed in a play at the Battersea Arts Centre and have been friends ever since (as well as being godmothers to their respective sons!)
